SUNY Delhi Campus Community Campaign

A CHANGE UP: PERSONAL INVITATION / A GRAPHIC APPROACH

The annual State University of New York Delhi Campus Community Campaign raises scholarship funds from alumni, faculty and staff. This campaign usually includes three versions of a trifold, full color, glossy brochure, a response envelope, a poster and flyer.

The brochure approach was getting stale. The client wanted to get attention by a change up. She thought an invitation feeling might be right.

Silvertop Graphics suggested using a strong, metaphorical graphic image that would be universal, stand out, be distinctive and recognizable. It was further suggested the mailer be printed on a heavy, uncoated, textured, invitation size card stock. The resulting campaign was successful. There were three versions of the invitation, each targeted to a different part of the SUNY Delhi campus community. The graphic inspired use as an electronic signature for fundraiser correspondence. The graphic also inspired the idea of a vehicle magnet that was made available for donors to display.
